A lot of bed and breakfasts we've visited in the United States think that breakfast consists of "donuts and coffee."  Now don't get me wrong, some of the spreads of danish and homemade breads we found were very nice, but it never really seemed like breakfast.  Today, you can get more than that for breakfast at one of those chain motels.  That is if you like microwaved eggs and such.

We knew we had to do to better than that.  Our inn was special and we wanted the breakfast to be at the very least normal.

In Europe and other countries, the "breakfast" in "Bed & Breakfast" usually meant a simple extension of the innkeeper's fresh-made meal each day with a few extras thrown in for some variety.  The result was a meal that felt as good as it tasted--it was a natural extension of your stay.
